Privacy Policy for Minima: Water Tracker
What this app collects, why it collects it, and what you can ask us to delete.
Effective date: September 3, 2026
Minima: Water Tracker (also shown on the device as Waterline) is a private, offline-first hydration tracker. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it stays, and the choices available to you.
Information stored on your device
The app stores your hydration entries, daily goals, units, quick-add vessel choices, beverage preferences, reminder schedule, appearance settings, challenge state, and locally calculated history and insights on your device. This information is not sent to the developer and is not used to build an advertising profile.
You may export a backup using the device share sheet. The app does not choose its destination. Anyone or any service you choose to share that file with will handle it under their own terms. You can restore a backup or delete all locally stored app data from Settings. Uninstalling the app also removes ordinary app-sandbox data, subject to the operating system's backup behavior.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, the app asks for notification permission and schedules reminder times locally on the device. Reminder content and your hydration progress are not sent to a developer-operated notification server.
Optional Health Connect access
On supported Android devices, you may separately enable Health Connect synchronization. The app requests only read and write access for hydration records, and only after the system permission screen obtains your consent. Health Connect data is exchanged directly with the platform service and is not sent to the developer. Denying or revoking access does not disable manual hydration tracking. You can manage or revoke this permission in Health Connect at any time.
Network features and public pages
Core tracking, history, insights, goals, and reminders work offline. The app may open the published privacy, support, terms, about, or first-run information pages. A request to those pages can include ordinary connection information such as an IP address, browser or app user agent, language, platform, and request time. The hosting provider may retain this limited technical information for security and reliable delivery under its operational policies. Hydration entries, goals, reminders, and profile information are not included in those requests.
If you voluntarily submit the support form, the contact details and message you provide are used only to answer and manage that request. Do not include health records or other sensitive information in a support message.
Analytics, crash reporting, advertising, and identifiers
This build contains Firebase analytics and crash-reporting library code, but it has no Firebase application configuration. Initialization therefore remains inactive, and the app does not transmit analytics events or crash reports to Firebase. The Android bundle also contains the advertising-ID permission merged by that analytics library; the app has no ads, does not read or use the identifier for advertising or marketing, and the inactive library cannot transmit it in this build.
The app does not sell or share personal information, perform cross-app tracking, show advertising, or use third-party marketing SDKs.
Purchases and accounts
The current app is free and has no products, subscriptions, paid features, account, sign-in, or remote hydration profile. Platform purchase code is present only as a safe reusable integration and has no configured product IDs. If a future version adds a paid product or activates a remote service, the store disclosures and this policy will be updated before that version is released.
Retention and deletion
Local information remains until you edit it, delete all local data in Settings, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Information you deliberately export is controlled by the destination you select. Limited web request logs, and information voluntarily submitted through the support form, are kept only as long as needed for security, reliability, and responding to the request.
Security
Public pages and optional platform services use encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. The app relies on Android's app sandbox and Health Connect permission controls for on-device information. No system can guarantee absolute security, so keep your device and any exported backups protected.
Children
Minima is a general-wellness utility intended for people aged 13 and over. It is not directed to children under 13, does not knowingly collect personal information from children, and does not participate in Google Play's Families program.
General-wellness boundary
Minima is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Goal suggestions are adjustable general-wellness estimates, not medical advice. Follow any hydration target given by a qualified clinician.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app's behavior or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected in the policy published at the URL used by the store listing.
